After Phillip Island we headed back to our Melbourne base with, pleasingly, all cars damage free so preparation for Bathurst was limited to the normal safety check over, routine maintenance & putting in our Bathurst set-up. All pretty straight forward actually.

The other thing I needed to do was organise team clothing for our new sponsor Boom Logistics who had taken over backing of my car previously driven by Andrew Moffat. So I had to spend quite some time on organising Dave’s new suit, pit crew shirts & overalls. I know it’s only for 2 race meetings but we must at all times project a professional front for our sponsors and hopefully we can impress on Boom that we are serious about our relationship and would like to continue with them going forward.

The transporter and crew all headed off to Bathurst on Wednesday and by late afternoon we were set up for the Thursday activities.
